R&B Singer and Rick James protégé Teena Marie has died from natural causes at the age of 54. Teena Marie was found in her home in Pasadena, California by her daughter. After officials searched her house, there were no signs of foul play from Ms. Marie. An autopsy and toxicology test will be performed later this week, but as of now it seems like natural causes were what caused the R&B star to perish in her sleep. R&B really just took a hit with this one. Our prayers and condolences go out to the family of Ms. Marie and to the R&B genre as a whole.
